Scott didn’t initially take the stage after of a dispute over whether former Florida Gov. Crist could use a portable fan.

Crist joked, “It’s right here” in pointing to the fan beneath him at the podium Friday.

Mrs. Obama said help of people like Crist during her husband’s first term were beneficial in the progress he made on initiatives like women’s rights and health care. Crist was a Republican when governor, but is running this time as a Democrat.
