SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (AP) – A fire on the recently closed Colossus ride at Southern California’s Six Flags Magic Mountain park has collapsed part of the famous wooden roller coaster, but no injuries are reported.
Los Angeles County firefighters got the call around 1:30 p.m. Monday and doused the fire in about a half-hour.
The top of the lift hill on the 125-foot-tall wooden coaster collapsed after flames charred it.
Magic Mountain says workers were disassembling the ride at the time of the fire.
Authorities are trying to determine the cause.
