LOS ANGELES (AP) – Kelly Osbourne has apologized for remarks she made on “The View” that suggested if Latinos were expelled from the United States, there would be no one to clean Donald Trump’s toilets.
Osbourne’s comment Tuesday while a guest host on the ABC show was directed at the Republican presidential candidate, whose comments about Mexican immigrants have offended many but have also given him a lead in early polls.
Osbourne questioned who Trump – who was not on the show – thought would clean his toilets if there were no Latinos left in the U.S. She was quickly interrupted by “View” co-host Rosie Perez and backed off her comment, but many expressed outrage online.
The former “Fashion Police” host wrote on Facebook that she isn’t racist but apologized for her “poor choice of words.”
