WASHINGTON (AP) – The National Transportation Safety Board is meeting to determine the cause of an accident that severely injured comedian Tracy Morgan and killed another comedian when a truck smashed into their limousine during a traffic backup on the New Jersey Turnpike.

The board is also expected to make safety recommendations based on the accident at its meeting on Tuesday.

Much is already known about the crash. Accident investigators have previously said Wal-Mart truck driver Kevin Roper of Jonesboro, Georgia, was going 65 mph in a highway work zone where the speed limit was 45 mph, despite two warning signs alerting motorists to slow down.

Comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair was killed, and Morgan suffered head trauma, a broken leg and broken ribs. Three other passengers in the limo suffered serious injuries.
