Camp is right about America
I agree with Reggie Camp. America indeed needs to repent.
She dines on the fatted calf, yet she hungers.
She drinks of purified water, yet she thirsts.
The cities never sleep. As in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, so it is today.
If you seek proof Satan is about as a roaring lion, you have only to watch the news where he boasts of the works he has worked.
How long, oh Lord, will you allow the blood of your son to be trampled? No, as Christians, we are not “holier than thou,” yet we can rest on the promise we are under no condemnation. Our sins are forgiven as far as East is from the West.
The decision is yours. Oh yes, you can enjoy sin for a season, but that season nears end. The summer is gone, harvest is reaped and we are not saved.
“Come let us reason together,” sayeth the Lord. Today is the day of salvation. Gamble not with your soul. Consider eternity will never end. Embrace salvation today through the blood of his son and sleep well.

Former Marine salutes services
As a Marine who served from 1967 to 1971, I would like to commend the Marine Corps and Navy for the outstanding and respectful way the services of our fallen heroes were conducted. When I participated in a number of these details while serving in the Marine Corps, these services were to the highest standards and traditions of both branches of the military.
I attended Staff Sgt. Wyatt’s burial at the Chattanooga National Cemetery and watched the others on television. I stood at Petty Officer Smith’s funeral procession, and non-military personal do not realize the planning that goes into these types of services. Outstanding job! “Once a Marine, always a Marine.” Semper fidelis.

Climate snake oil salesmen at work
A recent letter demonstrates that low-information readers love to call people names, use generalizations and opinions, and call them facts to support their agenda.
Ninety-seven percent of all scientists do not support the global warming argument; this was a group of liberal scientists asked if they felt global warming was an issue. According to an MIT study, the number is less than 28 percent of the science community that deals specifically with climate-related issues.
The ability to measure atmospheric CO2 levels accurately has existed for less than five decades. To imply our data goes back 650,000 years is ludicrous. CO2 levels have been fairly steady for the past 40. The “data” they use is created, not recorded.
The ice data from NASA from 2002 to 2006 is old, a small scientific sample, and not current. Recent data demonstrates a number of record years for ice coverage at both polls, not a record decline.
The acidity of surface ocean waters rises near industrial growth only. This is a generalized argument hoping for an emotional response by those who don’t care to look at this objectively.
Snake oil salesmen remain alive and well and prey on gullible.
