Schottenheimer says Georgia won't rush quarterback decision

Another preseason football practice at Georgia.

Another coach describing the close quarterback competition.

Bulldogs first-year offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer was made available to the media following Monday's two-hour practice in full pads. Schottenheimer echoed head coach Mark Richt, offering few specifics and no timetable in tabbing a starter among redshirt junior Faton Bauta, redshirt sophomore Brice Ramsey and Virginia transfer Greyson Lambert.

"All three guys are flashing at times," Schottenheimer said in his first news conference this month. "I think we'll make the decision when we feel like it's the right time to make the decision. Whether it's before the first game or whenever it is, what we're trying to emphasize with these guys is to make the most of your opportunities."
