The Chattanooga Lookouts were too little, too late on the scoreboard Thursday night in a 3-1 loss at Pensacola.

Both of the Southern League teams finished with six hits, but the Blue Wahoos (55-66) capitalized better on their opportunities.

Pensacola scored its first run on Kyle Skipworth's second-inning single, which brought home Marquez Smith. The Blue Wahoos added two runs in the seventh on back-to-back hits by Ray Chang (double) and Beau Amaral (single).

The Lookouts (66-53) went 2-for-9 with runners in scoring position and left seven baserunners stranded in the game.

They scored their lone run on Max Kepler's two-out single that brought home Levi Michael in the eighth inning. Michael had singled with one out and moved to second on Stephen Wickens' single.

Game four of the five-game series in Pensacola is at 7:30 EDT tonight. DJ Baxendale (4-1, 3.87) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Cody Reed (2-1, 3.57) scheduled for the Blue Wahoos.
