Downtown shoppers have another place to scout for purchases on Friday, Dec. 11, when River City Co. hosts a Holiday Market in Miller Plaza.

Set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the inaugural event will gather goods from a dozen retailers and restaurants, as well as fresh wreaths and garlands.

Taking part are Good Fortune Soap & Spa, Revel Pastry Co., stationery/gift shop Shadowbox, mobile boutique Olive + Estelle, natural pet market Nooga Paws, The Hot Chocolatier, Fischer Evans Jewelers, Rock/Creek Outfitters, pizza restaurant Community Pie, Mexican restaurant Taqueria at The Plaza, green art gallery Tangerinas and gift shop Sophie’s Shoppe.

Providing entertainment during the three-hour pop-up market are the Center for Creative Arts Women’s Ensemble at 12:30 p.m. and the Normal Park Museum Magnet Brass Quintet and Choir at 1 p.m.
