Local marketing agency Maycreate donated 1,000 protective iPad cases, valued at $70,000, to Hamilton County Schools.
The contribution coincides with the Board of Education’s “1:1 Initiative” to put iPads in the hands of all 42,000 of its students.
“Providing iPads to every student in the county is a large investment, and we are extremely grateful that Maycreate is helping to protect that investment,” schools Superintendent Rick Smith said. “Providing future generations with the tools they need to succeed in life benefits not only the students, but also the community.”
Designed with ergonomics and functionality in mind, the Swivel ProFolio cases are produced by Chattanooga’s Us+U. The award-winning case has received several U.S. patents and is used among employees at Fortune 100 companies, as well as several universities around the country.
“We always look for ways to give back to the community, but we wanted something that would specifically benefit the students and educators,” Brian May, president and creative director of Maycreate, said.
