Dave Baumgartner is convinced that East Tennessee – or at least a good share of Chattanooga, Knoxville and Murfreesboro – runs on ‘Dunkin’.
Baumgartner, the head of the Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee known as the Bluemont Group, opened his 21st Dunkin’ Donut shop in East Tennessee 0n Monday only six years after he acquired the regional franchise.
The newest Dunkin’ Donut Shop at 4635 Highway 58 opened in a renovated former FSG bank branch and features a drive-through window for those wanting their coffee on the go and free WiFi and television, outdoor seating and a conference room with HDMI connectivity for those wishing to relax inside.
“We’re the morning stop for coffee and this is a great spot on a main route into town that should prove convenient and attractive for a lot of folks,” Baumgartner said Monday. “We opened up at noon today (Monday), and business has been steady.”
The new store, like other Dunkin’ Donuts, will be open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m weekdays, starting today, and from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays. The typical unit has about 40 full- and part-time workers.
