Interstate 75 is heavily congested near Dalton, Ga. after a serious Wednesday afternoon wreck involving several passenger vehicles and a tractor trailer.
The condition of those involved is unknown at this time.
The wreck shut down all lanes on I-75 North and congested southbound traffic, causing long delays. Northbound lanes have since reopened.
Georgia Department of Transportation encouraged drivers to find alternate routes through the area.
