More private student housing is proposed in Chattanooga, as University Housing Group seeks to build a 174-unit complex on 13.5 acres of vacant property on Riverside Drive, across from the Riverside Business Center.
The complex would consist of four four-story buildings and one three-story building, as well as 619 parking spaces.
Regional Planning Agency staff recommends a rezoning for the project be approved. The property is currently zoned for light industrial use, and the developer is seeking high-density central business zoning.
Planning commissioners will review the rezoning request at Monday’sregular planning commission meeting.
