Members of a presidential search advisory committee will meet for the first time Tuesday at Chattanooga State Community College.

The Tennessee Board of Regents will hold a public forum at 1 p.m. in Room 124 of the Omniplex building to discuss the criteria and search process for selecting a replacement for Jim Catanzaro, who stepped down in December amid a state investigation into his hiring practices.

The committee will meet at 3 p.m. in the same space.

The search committee’s job is to identify three to five finalists for the position.

Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor John Morgan will then make a final selection to be approved by regents.
