The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga saw their two-game win streak come to a close Saturday in Cullowhee, N.C., falling to Western Carolina 73-70.

The Mocs (16-9, 9-3) fell behind 39-25 at the half, shooting only 8-for-26 (31 percent). They rallied after break behind the interior play of Justin Tuoyo, who had 14 of his team-high 17 points in the second half; and Duke Ethridge, who had 13 points and six rebounds in his best game in a UTC uniform.

Greg Pryor hit a pair of free throws with 1:53 remaining to cap off the comeback, tying the game at 70. After a steal, he then missed a 3 in the corner, and the Catamounts (12-13, 7-6) ran the clock down, with James Sinclair doing a half-spin to get himself open, hitting a jumper at the top of the key to put his team on top.

Eric Robertson missed a 3 on the team’s next possession, and a Justin Browning free throw provided the final difference.

Sinclair finished with 21 points and nine rebounds. Mike Brown matched his rebound total while adding 16 points, while Torrion Brummitt added 14 points before fouling out.

The Mocs complete a three-game road trip Thursday when they travel to first-place Wofford in Spartanburg, S.C.
