Q: Dad, when I go to get my oil changed, they always tell me I need a whole bunch of other work done. What should I do?
A: Pay attention. Make note of what they tell you, then ask me about it. Some of the things likely do need to be handled immediately, but some can wait, and some can be done by you or me. Replacing an air filter, for example, is pretty easy to do. This is not to say they are being dishonest at all. It’s their job, but it can be overwhelming if you don’t know what they are talking about.
