CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Lee University will hold a new two-week camp for students aged 7-12 and 12-18 from June 8-19, each culminating in the performance of a play.

According to a university news release, children at the 7-12 camp will work with Lee theater students and faculty to learn about characterization, physical acting, vocal training and stage presence. Camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon daily, and campers will receive a T-shirt and snacks.

Older students may enroll in the Teen Summer Stock theater from 1-4 p.m. daily. They will audition for roles, either onstage or backstage, and then produce a one-act play. This camp will provide hands-on experience running a full show in a state-of-the-art theater.

Each camp is $200 per student, with a $50 discount for siblings. The registration form is at www.leeuniversity.edu/theatre. To learn more, call Christine Williams at 423-614-8227 or email christinewilliams@leeuniversity.edu.
