Sam Hunt brings his “House Party” to town when country music’s rising star performs at Riverbend on Sunday, June 7. Hunt will play the Bud Light Stage at 8 p.m.

“House Party” is one of two singles Hunt has on the radio right now, along with “Take Your Time,” which reached No. 1 and is still No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles after 30 weeks on the chart. His Riverbend audience is sure to hear those along with “Leave the Night On,” his first No. 1 single; “Ex To See,” “Raised on It” and “Breakup in a Small Town.”

Stephanie Blaine, 25, saw Hunt’s show last fall when he opened for Kip Moore at the Tivoli Theatre.

“Girls just go crazy over him,” she says. “Everyone was up on their feet, and they were trying to get down the aisles closer to the stage.”

For that very reason, Joe “Dixie” Fuller, Riverbend talent and production coordinator, has added extra security around the Bud stage that night. Fuller says that area can accommodate from 7,500 to 10,000 fans. And Hunt’s set will be on the Coke Stage video walls for folks who don’t want to lose their prime chair space before Merle Haggard’s show.

5 reasons women love Sam Hunt

1. Singing Jock: Hunt played football for Middle Tennessee State University and was starting quarterback at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was invited to the Kansas City Chiefs training camp, but when that didn’t work out he moved to Nashville to pursue music. And if we learned anything from “Glee” girls love athletes who aren’t afraid to show their emotions in a song.

2. Gun Show: The man has some serious biceps on that 6-foot, 4-inch body.

3. Knows How To Word a Booty Call: Hunt co-wrote “Come On Over,” which was a No. 1 hit for Kenny Chesney.

4. Doesn’t Kiss and Tell: Nope, he just names an album after your hometown. His No. 1-charting CD, “Montevallo,” reportedly got its name from the Alabama town along I-65 that was home to a former girlfriend who inspired some of its songs.

5. Has a Sensitive Side: Hunt owns a rescue cat named Dandelion.

* Superfan bonus question: What song did Hunt co-write that got a Grammy nomination?

* Answer: “Cop Car,” recorded by Keith Urban.
