A 20-year-old Chattanooga man is accused of sexually molesting a girl while she attended a sleepover at his house May 30.

Corey Coleman was booked into the Hamilton County Jail on Wednesday on one count of sexual battery.

The girl, who will not be identified by the Times Free Press because she is an alleged victim of sexual assault, told police she was at the South Holly Street house where Coleman lives for a sleepover with her friends. The girl was born in 2000.

The girl said Coleman came into the bedroom where she and her friends were sleeping after everyone had gone to bed, around 2 a.m. She said he got into bed with her and molested her, pushing her face into the mattress and touching her.

The girl said she told Coleman to stop, but he didn’t.

Coleman was charged with sexual battery and was released on a $5,000 bond.
