Editor’s note: Barry Courter has a 26-year-old son who is a college graduate and a 21-year-old daughter who is a senior in college. Each week he poses a question he wishes they would ask.
Q: Dad, you just got back from Bonnaroo. I know my friends’ parents ask you about their kids going. What do you say?
A: It is one of the greatest adventures they will ever have. They will see, hear and experience brand-new things. I also tell them that, if their child is levelheaded and smart enough to know right from wrong, they’ll do fine. But if their kid seems to attract trouble, it will find them at Bonnaroo. The main rule there is don’t be an idiot and you’ll be fine.
