After smoke was reported at the Hamilton County Jail, officials say an inmate “maliciously” discharged a powered fire extinguisher.
There was reportedly no fire, and no injuries.

Chattanooga firefighters have responded to the Hamilton County Jail, where smoke was reported on the 5th floor.
Hamilton County Sheriff spokesman J. Matt Lea said prisoners were evacuated as a precaution.
There are no reported injuries.
