ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga dropped a 69-67 decision to Furman in the quarterfinals of the Southern Conference tournament Saturday, at the U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville, N.C.

The Mocs (22-10) shot only 33 percent from the field in the second half. The Paladins shot only 40 percent from the field, but were 25-for-30 at the free-throw line in the final 20 minutes to provide the difference.

Daniel Fowler broke a 49-all tie with a basket on a drive with 5:40 to go. He followed that up with two free throws on the following possession, and as a team, the Paladins were able to salt the game away at the free-throw line to improve to 11-21 on the season.

Ronrico White tried to create a spark for the Mocs, scoring 11 points in the final 39.2 seconds. He finished with 16 points to lead the team. Casey Jones added 12 points and three blocks.
