Hiwassee RiverA call has been issued to people who want to make a beautiful place more beautiful.
The Springtown Community Support Group in Polk County, Tenn., have announced plans for a Hiwassee River Cleanup event March 28 starting at 9 a.m.
Participants should wear work boots, gloves and safety glasses. Garbage bags will be provided.
The group will meet at the State Park office on Spring Creek Road off U.S. Highway 411 just north of the Hiwassee River bridge.
