Police responding to a request for a well-being check found two people dead inside a Hixson home a little after 4 p.m. Friday.
At 9:30 p.m. Friday, officers were still processing the scene at 3040 Stage Run Drive in the Old Stage Run neighborhood off Cassandra Smith Road. Lt. Glenn Scruggs of the Violent Crimes Unit of the Chattanooga Police Department said details were still sketchy.
“We’re hitting a wall trying to get identification of the parties right now,” Scruggs said. He couldn’t confirm the gender of the parties or the manner of death.
Police said they received a call from a concerned person asking for checks be made at a home in the area. Upon arriving , they found two bodies at the scene.
