The Georgia State Patrol says the driver in a single-car crash in Dade County Thursday is in critical condition.

According to the GSP, 25-year-old Kevin Bolton, of Guild, Tenn., was driving a 1989 Chevrolet Beretta north on Georgia Highway 299 around 7:30 a.m. when he crossed the center line, crossed the southbound lane, hit a mailbox and crashed into a tree.

Paramedics with LifeForce then flew him to Erlanger Health System.

Investigators found drugs at the scene. They could not say what type of drugs or how much of those drugs they found.
