The Walker County Chamber of Commerce has named Lacey Wilson as the organization’s new president.
Wilson, a Rossville native, began her new position last week after working for more than eight years in marketing and public relations. Most recently, she was marketing manager for Blood Assurance, a regional nonprofit blood center headquartered in Chattanooga.
Wilson served on the Chamber’s board of directors for two years before being selected by the presidential search committee and approved by the executive board of directors to fill the role.
Wilson succeeds Stephanie Snodgrass, who resigned last fall after accepting being named chief of the Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce in Georgia. Glenda Jones, director of programs and events, has served as the interim president for the Walker County Chamber.
“We are pleased to welcome Lacey to the Chamber and feel that her prior experience and education made her the ideal candidate for this position,” said Melissa Roden, chairwoman of the Walker Chamber’s board of directors.
