Former GBI agent accused of child molestation denied bond

KNOXVILLE – Authorities say a former Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent accused of molesting three boys has been denied bond.

The Telegraph of Macon reports that 34-year-old Charles Samuel Woodall was denied bond after his arrest Monday by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at his family’s Knoxville residence. He faces multiple charges, including nine counts of child molestation.

Bibb County District Attorney David Cooke says Woodall is accused of molesting three middle school-aged boys and showing them obscene material. Cooke says Woodall knew the victims from church, with the abuse occurring over nine years.

WMAZ-TV reports that Woodall worked in the Milledgeville, Georgia GBI office from December 2011 until he resigned in October.

Woodall’s attorney Charles Cox requested a commitment hearing on behalf of his client. The hearing is set for Nov. 25.
