Editor’s note: Barry Courter has a 26-year-old son who is a college graduate and a 21-year-old daughter who is a college senior. Each week he poses a question he wishes they would ask.
Q: Dad, when interviewing for a job, what are some things to do?
A: Research the company ahead of time. If you can find someone who has worked there, reach out to them. Have a list of questions you want answered regarding insurance, your expected schedule, duties and advancement opportunities. Approach it like you are interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you.
