University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men’s basketball coach Matt McCall said this week that the team was “optimistic” senior guard Dee Oldham was going to be able to play in the Nov. 6 exhibition game against Covenant.
That optimism rang true Thursday as Oldham, who spent the first three seasons of his college career at UT-Martin, was cleared to play immediately for the Mocs.
The 6-foot-4 Oldham transferred to UTC in December 2014. Due to the timing of his transfer, he initially was going to be able to play only after the first semester of the Mocs’ season – the second week of December.
A versatile player who can play four positions depending on the lineup, Oldham averaged six points and three rebounds in 66 career games with the Skyhawks.
