SHUCKERS 6, LOOKOUTS 2
Friday’s recap: For a second consecutive evening, Biloxi used a three-run first inning to help subdue the Lookouts. Chattanooga starting pitcher D.J. Baxendale retired the first batter he faced but then gave up a double to right field by Nate Orf, an RBI double to center by Brett Phillips and a two-run home run to center by Jacob Nottingham. The Lookouts (0-2) were held without a hit until Stuart Turner opened the sixth inning with a double to center. Turner would score, and Chattanooga got within 3-2 on Mitch Garver’s homer to right in the seventh, but the Shuckers pulled away on homers by Victor Roache and Phillips.
Next game: Game three of a five-game series in Biloxi is tonight at 8:10 EDT.
Pitchers: David Hurlbut is scheduled for the Lookouts, with Adrian Houser scheduled for the Shuckers.
