An accident with injuries has shut down one lane of U.S. Highway 27 north just past the Mountain Creek Road exit.
A Times Free Press reporter nearby said there are multiple emergency vehicles on the scene. Hamilton County EMS and Chattanooga police and fire units have responded as well.
A dispatcher said one lane is open and no one has been transported to the hospital as of about 10:30 p.m., but no other information was immediately available.
