Visitors to the Downtown Dalton Market on Saturday, Aug. 6, should be on the lookout for digital versions of this little guy and his kind during a Pokémon Go-themed market day that ties an environmental message into Pokémon hunts.
From 8 a.m. to noon, volunteers from Keep Dalton-Whitfield Beautiful will have a booth with litter prevention tips for Pokémon trainers, free litter bags for their cars plus trash bags to remind them that they can help clean up parks when they’re out hunting for more Pokémons.
There also will be a craft station where the first 30 visitors can make or decorate a flower pot to take home.
Garden soil, seeds and water will be provided for free. The Downtown Market is set up on the Dalton Green at Thornton Avenue and Waugh Street.
