New jobs tile

Tenneco, an automotive supplier that makes clean air and ride performance products, will open a new facility in Spring Hill, Tenn., and create up to 200 new jobs during the next three years.

Tenneco's new Clean Air manufacturing plant will support programs for General Motors, which makes the Cadillac XT5 and the GMC Acadia in Spring Hill. Tenneco's new 117,000-square foot facility is scheduled to begin production in late 2016. It will be Tenneco's second facility in Tennessee, joining the company's Clean Air plant in Smithville, which employs 650 people.

The new facility will employ approximately 20 people when it opens, but will gradually grow to employ up to 200 by 2019.

"We're very excited to continue providing exceptional products and service to GM from our newest facility in North America," Mike Seurynck, Tenneco vice president and general manager North America Clean Air

Tenneco is one of 930 automotive suppliers in Tennessee.
