Chattanooga police are investigating a fatal stabbing in the 2500 block of 6th Avenue.
Officers received a call of a stabbing around 5:20 this evening.
When they arrived at a residence in East Lake Courts, they found the body of a man who had apparently been stabbed to death, according to public information officer Elisa Myzal.
Officers detained a person of interest, Myzal said. She said witnesses at the scene were cooperating with the police department.
