Painting from a live model, artists Timur Akhriev and Mia Bergeron will be featured in the next Art Throwdown at Townsend Atelier, located inside The Arts Building at 301 E. 11th St.
The free painting demonstration, scheduled 6-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, should give insight into how artists see the same subject differently, how they begin and refine a portrait and whether they are competitive.
Audience input is welcome.
Both paintings created during the demonstration will be auctioned at the end of the night.
Drinks will be available, but guests may bring a snack or sack dinner if they wish.
