Culprit of violent stabbing death in Calhoun, Georgia identified as victim's former spouse

The suspected culprit of a violent stabbing in Calhoun, Ga. that led to the death of one man Tuesday nights was identified today as the victim's former spouse.

According to a release from the Gordon County Sheriff's office, Ollie Mae Gravely, 62, was detained just an hour after her former husband, Willie W. Tidwell, 69, was found stabbed to death at a home on Baxter Road in the Dews Pond community.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene at 9:45 p.m. and detectives immediately began interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence. Specifically, the knife believed to have been used as a weapon was recovered by investigators.

Shortly after, Gravely was detained in Calhoun and today the Sheriff's office announced that she will be charged with murder.
