Chattanooga mayor Andy Berke wants walking buddies on Friday.

Berke is inviting Chattanoogans to meet him at Miller Park at 12:30 p.m. Friday for a stroll around downtown as part of his new Get Fit Challenge.

“Adding just a few extra steps into your regular fitness routine can have a big payoff, whether it’s taking a lunchtime walk with friends and coworkers or walking with your child to the bus stop,” Berke said in a news release.

Friday’s temperature is projected to be in the 60s with mostly sunny skies.
