“The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show” has a lot of fans in Chattanooga apparently. The reaction to Wednesday’s announcement that the syndicated morning show’s on-air personalities would be coming to town was so great, Hits 96 officials contacted the stars about adding more opportunities for the fans to meet them.
For the next two weeks, WDOD -FM 96.5 will be running a call-in-to-win promotion giving fans a chance to attend a special VIP event prior to the previously scheduled meet-and-greet at Sing It or Wing It on Feb. 29 from 5-7 p.m.
“Because the reaction to this very special event has been so overwhelming, we’ve been working with the crew to add more opportunities for fans to meet them,” said Assistant Program Director Brad Steiner.
He said many details, like how many winners there might be and where the VIP event might take place, are still to be worked out.
“A lot of it depends on their schedule and how quickly they can get here prior to a similar event they are doing earlier in the day,” Steiner said.
Steiner also said that Sing It or Wing It was chosen because Kraddick personality Big Al Mack owns a karaoke bar, “and the folks at Sing It or Wing It have been so great to work with. Space is limited, and only the first 150 people will be allowed inside for the meet-and-greet.
“We’ve also been contacted by so many businesses and Chattanooga icons, landmark businesses that people know that want to do something, we are looking at adding other opportunities.”
The crew, Kellie Rasberry, Mack, J-Si Chavez and Jenna Owens, will also broadcast live from WDOD on March 1 from 7-10 a.m.
