Closed Door Entertainment opens two weekends of performances of “Peter Pan Jr.: The Musical” on Friday, Feb. 19.

This version of J.M. Barrie’s timeless tale of the boy who wouldn’t grow up presents the same songs, same adventures in Neverland and same beloved characters everyone grew up with – except for one big twist: Every role is played by a child.

“Even Captain Hook is played by a child,” says Closed Door producer JC Smith. “Our captain’s a more comical version than scary. This is a show geared to the whole family.”

Playing the title role is Benjamin Brown, already a seasoned theater veteran at age 11. Smith says Benjamin previously appeared as Lefou in Closed Door’s production of “Beauty and the Beast” and has performed at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. He has been in the casts of “A Christmas Story: The Musical,” “Les Miserables,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Oklahoma,” “Big Fish” and “All My Sons.”
