Former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football assistant Will Healy has been busy putting together his first staff after accepting the head coaching job at Austin Peay last week.

It looks like his assembly will have a certain Mocs flavor to it.

According to a report on FootballScoop.com, UTC defensive line coach Marcus West will be leaving to become the co-defensive coordinator for the Governors. In addition, Carter Crutchfield, director of football operations for the Mocs, would assume the same position at Austin Peay and become the program’s recruiting director.

Former UTC offensive lineman Kevin Revis, currently an assistant at Jacksonville State, will be taking over as coach of tackles and tight ends, according to the report.

West has been with the Mocs for the past seven seasons. Under his leadership of the group, the Mocs perennially had one of the top defensive lines in both the Southern Conference and the Football Championship Subdivision. Three players – Josh Beard (2009), Davis Tull (2012-14) and Keionta Davis (2015) – were named All-Americans, and 11 different players earned All-SoCon recognition.

Crutchfield has been with the Mocs since 2013. The Dalton native played wide receiver while winning four letters at Tennessee Tech, helping the Golden Eagles reach the FCS playoffs in 2011.

Revis, a Rhea County High School graduate, started his career at the University of Tennessee before transferring to UTC, where he was a first-team all-conference selection at center in 2013. He has spent the past two seasons with the Gamecocks.
