With several fellow Republican lawmakers reporting embattled House Majority Whip Jeremy Durham is trying to curry favor with colleagues days before House Republicans decide his fate, one fellow GOP lawmaker is returning a gift given by Durham this week.
The gift: a box of Cuban cigars.
The cigars were delivered to the lawmaker’s office this week by a Durham assistant. The lawmaker, who requested anonymity for fear of reprisal, said the gift was a nice gesture but it would not be appropriate to accept it.
