CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) – Subpoenas are being issued to a superintendent and principal to testify in a hearing for three officials at a Tennessee high school facing charges of failing to report child sex abuse involving basketball players.

Melydia Clewell, a spokesperson for the Hamilton County District Attorney’s office, confirmed Monday subpoenas would go out to Hamilton County Schools Superintendent Rick Smith, assistant superintendent Lee McDade, secondary operations director Steve Holmes and Ooltewah High principal Jim Jarvis.

A Feb. 15 hearing is scheduled for Ooltewah basketball coach Andre Montgomery, assistant coach Karl Williams and athletic director Allard Nayardley, who face charges of failing to report child sex abuse. They are suspended without pay.

Three juvenile players have been charged with sexual assault of a teammate.
