Re-Bath and 5 Day Kitchens of Chattanooga and North Georgia announce that retired U.S. Army Spc. Beth A. Lynch is the winner of the 2016 Veterans Bathtub to Shower Conversion Giveaway. She will receive a bathtub-to-shower conversion at no cost.

Lynch, a three-year veteran, was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment at Fort Bragg, N.C., as part of 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade. She was preparing for deployment with her unit when she suffered severe injuries during a jump accident. The incident led to her medical retirement in 2009. She continues to undergo periodic surgery to correct the injury to her spine and nerves.

To improve her mobility in her own bathroom, Re-Bath craftsmen will remove Lynch's current high wall bathtub and replace it with a low-threshold, walk-in shower.
