A Chattanooga woman is behind efforts to hold a Back the Blue Day on Monday, Aug. 1, when representatives in more than 500 cities in all 50 states will host events to support their local law enforcement.
Participants will deliver cards, snacks and bottled water to police officers in their neighborhoods along with messages of appreciation for the officers’ service to citizens.
