Haynes will offer skillful leadership
Early voting is now in progress and continues through Saturday; Election Day is Aug. 4.
I am asking the voters of Hamilton County to join me in casting their vote for Marty Haynes, who is on the ballot for Assessor of Property.
I know this office needs the continued leadership it has with the past assessors. My late husband, Roy Rumfelt, served under the last three assessors and was the chief deputy in that office at the time of his passing.
We can continue that leadership by electing Marty Haynes to this position. I have known Marty for several years. He has served as my county commissioner since 2012 and has represented District 3 well. I know Marty is a man of integrity, loves his family and is a man of God. Marty will be fair and equitable when it comes to assessing property values.
I ask you to vote for Marty Haynes.

Elect Ethan White to state House
Ethan White, who is running in the Republican primary for the House District 29 seat, is a candidate with proven conservative core values.
He is a lawmaker who believes in religion as a guide when legislating, that it stipulates that man-made laws be consistent with God’s laws.
He also encourages the teaching of the Bible in public schools. He knows that it is indispensable for the development of an educated citizenry.
Ethan is a true believer and is the future of the GOP, just as Donald Trump is for our beloved America.

Mike Carter should return to state House
I would like to encourage your support for Mike Carter in his bid for reelection to serve the citizens of District 29 in the state House of Representatives.
As a career law enforcement officer in this county, I can attest to the effectiveness of Carter as a law and order advocate who exhibits high character balanced with fairness and compassion.
As a citizen of this county and an Ooltewah resident, I am deeply appreciative of his herculean efforts at ending forced annexation in the state. As a result of this vital piece of legislation, those of us living in unincorporated areas now have a voice to choose our destiny in lieu of being forcibly annexed by the overreach of municipalities seeking to increase their tax base.
Please join me in supporting the people’s advocate. Let’s keep Mike as our voice representing District 29.

Welch will be part of solution
We all know there are problems with the management of our school system.
Fortunately for District 2, Jonathan Welch is not one of them. In the last four years, Jonathan Welch has become acutely aware of what’s wrong in the Hamilton County Department of Education. He not only recognizes the problems, he worked to identify solutions, and with a reconfigured and responsible school board, he’s ready to make changes.
Please re-elect Jonathan Welch to the Hamilton County Board of Education, District 2.
