Tullahoma house fire injures two

Fire officials in Tullahoma, Tenn., say two people were injured in a house fire on Cumberland Avenue Tuesday night.

An investigation into the blaze continued on Wednesday.

Firefighters found smoke coming from the roof of the home when they arrived about 8:30 p.m. CST Tuesday. Neighbors told them people could be inside, officials said in a statement on the incident.

After a brief search, firefighters found two people and removed them from the house. Both were treated at Tennova Harton Hospital and one victim was flown on to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville for treatment, officials said.

Firefighters soon got the fire under control and there no further injuries, officials said.

State fire officials and Tullahoma police are working together on the investigation.
