DAYTON, Ohio (AP) – The “Dunk City” darlings from Florida Gulf Coast University are back in the NCAA Tournament.

The Eagles (20-13) return to the tournament for the first time since they became national sweethearts with an improbable Sweet Sixteen run as a No. 15 seed in 2013. They play Northeast Conference champions Fairleigh Dickinson in a First Four game Tuesday night in Dayton.

Florida Gulf Coast, a Fort Myers, Florida, school that’s been playing Division I basketball only since 2007, made it by virtue of winning the Atlanta Sun conference tournament.

Fairleigh Dickinson, in Teaneck, New Jersey, has five previous NCAA Tournament appearances, the last one in 2005.

The winner moves on to play North Carolina, the No. 1 seed in the East Regional.
