Valerie Gillespie, Comcast's area vice president and general manager, said the expanded Wi-Fit connections complement Comcast's other new services added over the past four years, including the X1 platform, Xfinity Home, and most recently, Cloud DVR and steaming television, which enables customers to enjoy the full TV experience on the go.

"On the heels of our multi-gigabit speed investments and recent streaming TV launch, today's news underscores our commitment to providing Chattanooga residents with an unparalleled online experience," Gillesipe said. "Customers across the region can connect to family, friends, information and entertainment like never before."

Last month, Comcast Business launched Wi-Fi Pro, its next generation of faster business WiFi services.
