A motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition Saturday after the bike collided with a pickup truck on Highway 58 at Ramseytown Road.

A photo taken by a witness before EMS or law officers arrived showed people clustered around the injured motorcyclist and a red pickup overturned onto its driver’s side right at the intersection.

Matt Lea, spokesman for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, said the pickup driver was not seriously injured.

Lea said traffic investigators are on the scene but no further details were immediately available.
