Come June 18, the first-ever Catoosa Market will offer live music, kids games, a petting zoo, face painting, balloons, bouncy houses and pony rides – if enough vendors sign up to hold the space at the Northwest Georgia Bank Amphitheatre.

The early deadline to register is Saturday, May 21.

“We will try it this one time and see how the turnout is,” said Catoosa County Economic Development Coordinator Katie Thomason. “I hope to do it annually. As far as I know it’s the first time the county has done a big event here. The amphitheatre is managed and maintained by Catoosa County. We want to raise awareness that it is here for events. It’s a great facility and we want to utilize it more.”

Sponsors are also still needed.

“I have 46 vendor spaces available for vendors,” Thomason said. “It’s a $30 vendor fee if paid by May 21. After May 21 it goes up $10. The vendors I’m looking for are fresh produce and homemade bakery items. I’m looking for artisan type vendors with jams, jellies, breads, bakery cakes, cookies and pies.”
