Buckets of strawberries are brought in from the fields by workers at Sims Family Farm.Sunday, May 15, will be prime time for strawberries, fresh from the field, at Chattanooga Market, but the EPB Strawberry Festival will be celebrated in unexpected ways too.
Foods will run the gamut, with strawberry salsa, strawberry cake, chocolate-dipped strawberries, strawberry jelly and strawberry lemonade to try.
Even the arts and crafts vendors will find ways to incorporate the spring fruit with such goods as strawberry candles and strawberry-themed stationery.
Hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at First Tennessee Pavilion, 1829 Reggie White Blvd.
Indie-folk band Caney Creek Company will entertain from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., and roots singer Travis Bowlin will take the stage from 2 to 3 p.m.
